I’m sure plenty of ranting on both wonderful and terrible things will still occur. Dishing on horror isn’t really new to this blog (see my rant on creepy mannequins), but I’ll be getting a little more in depth with some of these stories. The Alpha Male allowed Neville to live, and then left shortly after with the other Darkseekers.Hi gang! This is the first of a series of horror-related posts I’ll be doing for my Reading In Genre: Horror Monsters course for Seton Hill University’s MFA in Writing Popular Fiction. The Darkseekers quickly surrounded a vulnerable Neville and were going to attack him, but the Alpha Male shouted an order and they quickly backed down, giving Neville an opportunity to inject a serum into the daughter - which immediately caused her to awake. Neville then removed the serum from the female's blood and wheeled her into the room with the Alpha Male and other Darkseekers. When the Darkseekers chased Neville, Anna and Ethan into the basement, Neville realized that the captured female was the daughter of the Alpha Male Darkseeker, and he wanted his daughter back. She eventually awoke and tried to attack Robert but was held back by chain shackles on her arms, however, the serum instead almost killed her until she was revived by Neville. Neville then took the female (Darkseeker) back to his lab, where he tested Compound 6 on her as a possible cure for KV. Clearly infuriated the Alpha Male let out a huge screech aimed at Neville. In 2012, three years after the KV outbreak, he was lured out of the colony by a blood sample and the screams of his daughter being captured into a snare trap by Neville. When KV broke out, the male was infected and turned into a Darkseeker. Nothing is known about the alpha male's life before the outbreak of the Krippin Virus. He was the father of the Alpha Female Darkseeker, and was captured by Robert Neville for his experiments.
